I Worried – by Mary Oliver
I came across this poem this morning. It’s not to make light of fear, worry, anxiety. I have been there, even today.
Let us go out into the morning and sing.
The Shame Game
We’ve all heard of the blame game. I actually wrote a poem about it a few months back.
But in response to my video podcast yesterday, I had some feedback in regards to my current leaning to not vote in this election. I would identify the particular reaction as the shame game.

God Is Like Jesus
Even amongst good, ol’ timey religious folk like you and I.
Perhaps strongest amongst such folk like you and I.
It’s because we read the story with a distorted lens.
We say, “Jesus is like God.”
The Blame Game
I’ve played the blame game,
Fought real hard to keep my name
In tact.
It’s a fact.
But the blame game never won me any ears,
Nor any hearts.
It only tore us apart;
Broken, damaged, hurting.
