I am very aware it is the Christmas season in which we focus on the birth of Christ into this world. And I’ve been faithful to share some thoughts stirring in me recently about the first Christmas story.
But I wanted to share a song that has deeply gripped me over the past few days. I have listened to it numerous times. It seems connected more specifically with Easter. But the song stands as a prophetic proclamation of what God is speaking to me in these days, especially from the bridge of the song. The words of the bridge are:
O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night
O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead
He’s alive! He’s alive!
